The AMC 8 is a national math competition, open to any IMS student who would like to sign up (6^th, 7^th, or 8^th grade).

What it is: 

• A 40-minute, 25-question multiple-choice math/problem-solving test
• Students receive 1 point for each correct answer, and 0 points for skipped or incorrect answers

When it is:

• The week of January 22-28, 2026
• Exact date and time (for Iola Middle School) are TBD, but it will be during the school day.
