About Me

Education

Educational History:

I attended Parsons High School in Parsons Kansas. 

I attended Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg Kansas.

Degrees and Certifications:

I graduated with my bachelors in Elementary Education in the spring of 2018.  

I completed my masters in Library Media and Technology Integration in 2022. 

Professional Development:

I have attended multiple workshops for the science of reading.  

I have also collaborated with numerous educators at an EdCamp workshop in southeast Kansas and at the KansasLEADS conference. 

Current Position:

This is my 5th year teaching 5th grade.  

I started teaching at Iola in 2021. 

I currently teach 5th grade. 

Previous Position:

I previously taught at Rawlins County Elementary School in Atwood Kansas. 

Prior to completing my elementary education degree, I had 2.5 years of experience as a classroom and special education paraprofessional. 

Family Information:

I have one son, Cameron, who is a 7th grader at Iola Middle School. He participates in cross country, basketball, marching band, and pep band.
