I started teaching in 1989. I have taught 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th, 7^th and 8^th grade. I love teaching all grade levels.  Social Studies is my favorite subject.

• Fifth grade in Derby, Kansas at Tanglewood Elementary for 15 years.
• Third, third/fourth combination, and fifth grade in Wichita, Kansas at Beech Elementary for 8 years.
• Fifth Grade, 7^th Grade and 8^th Grade in Iola, Kansas 10 years.

I have one daughter, Rachel, and three granddaughters, Chloe, Maisie, and Ryann.  Rachel went to Derby Public Schools and then attended Allen County Community College where she earned her RN certificate.  She lives in Mulvane, Kansas with her husband and  beautiful daughters.

I live in Elsmore, Kansas where my dad and sister also live. My parents and grandparents grew up in Elsmore so after I worked in Wichita and Derby for 23 years I decided to move back to Elsmore where my dad is.  I love the country!

I  have one cat named Pepe’, but my dad and sister both have hunting dogs!  My family really likes to hunt and fish!

I have been teaching for more than 30 years so just about everything I do revolves around education.  When I'm not at school I really love to be outside either fishing, walking, looking at wildlife, gardening, working in the yard, motorcycle riding, or just taking drives looking at the beautiful landscape.  Reading is a passion of mine.  I read books from all genres.  My favorite authors are Ann Rice, James Patterson, John Irving, and Wilson Rawls.  Because traveling is something my family did together while I was growing up, I try to take a trip some place every year.  I try to get to Colorado every year.  My family has been vacationing at Taylor Park, Colorado since the early 50's.
