My first year after graduation saw me as a One-on-One paraprofessional in the Nevada R5 school district.
The following year I was a Special Educcation teacher in the Butler R5 school district teaching 8th grade math and English as well as resource classes for special needs students.
My first year in Iola was as the 7th Grade Life Science teacher.
This is my third year in Iola, second as the 8th Grade Earth anf Space Science teacher.
After graduating high school I followed my dream and served in the United States Marine Corps all over the world from 1998 – 2002 as a field artillery cannoneer.
Finishing my contract in 2002 I took a job selling cars with a Chrysler dealership until 2008.
In 2008 I left California to move back home to Missouri where I began working at UPS in Lenexa as a part-time supervisor.
I left UPS once I graduated from college and began my search for a teaching position. This did not prove fruitful and I worked at Best Buy for a year before landing my job in Nevada as a paraprofessional, and continuing from there.
During the 2017/18 summer vacation my fiance and I married each other at Table Rock Beach in California after a day at Disneyland. She is a choir teacher in the Nevada school district where we live.
I have an eleven year old daughter who will attend 6th grade in Nevada this year. She is very active in Girl Scouts, their junior choir program and wants to get into 4-H. My daughter spent several days in Jefferson City, the state capitol as a member of the Missouri 4-6th grade Honor Choir for the second year as well.
We have no pets, love to play Xbox together, enjoy cooking and cooking shows as well.
My hobbies are really dictated by the amount of time I have for them. I have always found the time to make video games part of my life from computer to console. I enjoy sewing and making costumes as well as neckties and love the occasional bout of Magic the Gathering, tabletop RPG or game, or even LARP gaming.
