Doing the Right Thing Brings Rewards

The Iola Middle School has adopted a PBS Pony Pride ticket system that they will be implementing through the rest of the school year. Teachers, paras, cooks, custodians, bus drivers, secretaries, administration, and all other adults in the building were given Pony Pride tickets to hand out to students who are caught “doing the right thing”. The tickets are then dropped in the Pony Pride box in the office and each Friday two tickets are drawn. The students who have their ticket drawn will have a choice of selecting a reward from the following; any medium drink from Sonic w/4 friends, 2 Sterling Six Movie Passes, go out to lunch with Mr. Stanley, Free TA time, 1st in the lunch line for a week, sit in the teacher’s chair for a day, eat lunch with a favorite teacher or staff member, $5 McDonalds gift card, a Bacon Combo Burger from A&W, 2 Taco Meal Deals from Taco Bell, ice cream with a friend during TA, $5 Dairy Queen gift card, add a Pony Buck to your account, listen to your iPod while you work for a day, or wear a hat for a day. The first drawing took place on Friday, April 11, Cellia Branstetter and Caleb Jacobs were the winners. Cellia chose the Ster-ling Six movie passes and Caleb the Bacon Combo Burger from A&W.
